The frame of the Ellis-style dresser utilizes
dovetail joinery. Here compound dovetails join the back stretcher to the side
frame. You can also see the dado (groove) for the free-floating side panel.
The side panel is allowed to float in order to avoid splitting as the wood expands
and contracts under different climate conditions
